Learning About Voltron
The project began with a thorough research phase. We analyzed direct and indirect competitors' landing pages to assess how they present their franchises. Additionally, we compiled references from various Voltron mediums to inform the landing page design.
Competitor Research
During competitor research, we observed a lack of interactive elements on most websites, presenting an opportunity to differentiate the Voltron landing page. Notably, many franchises had developed live-action films, aligning with our goal of attracting potential producers. This inspired the idea of incorporating 3D assets into the design.
Gathering Resources
Given the franchise's diverse shows and mediums, we avoided focusing too heavily on any single series. Displayed are some of the comic books I purchased to gain a deeper understanding of the franchise.

The Origin Story
When the pilots find the five keys to their lions, they can form Voltron—a signature moment in the series. Including this iconic sequence in the landing page felt essential.
Formulating a Strategy
We aimed to create an interactive experience, allowing users to initiate the startup of their own lion.

The Landing Page
To highlight the Voltron franchise's legacy, we developed a timeline showcasing the various iterations of Voltron across different shows, complete with links to episodes.
At the project's outset, we sadly learned of Ted Koplar's passing. To honor his legacy, we included a sentimental tribute on the landing page. The cross and crown design was inspired by the Voltron crest.
